EQUAL FOR THE FUTURE! TIPOLOGY: multilateral youth exchange within european program Erasmus +, Youth Exchange. VENUE: Palermo DURATION: PARTICIPAITING COUNTRIES: Italy, PARTICIPAITING NUMBER: 5+1 for every group (30 total) TOPIC: Gender Equality, equal opportunities, youth participation, youth work, ICT and communication skills. WORKING LANGUAGE: English GOAL: Promote European awareness, good policies and best practicies on the gender equality and the equal opportunities; acquiring technical skills, ICT and communication skills useful to provide work skills to the youth. The difficulty to realize the gender equality is still too actual in Europe. In many European countries the gender equality is not realised and the Eu policies to foster the gender equality are important, but are not always sufficient.The problem of inequality cannot be resolved only with the good policies, there needs to spread a different awareness between citizen. The project is a vehicle to discuss, inform and spread the good policies and best practices and also to create tools of communication about the topic of gender equality that young participants can learn to use and whose the message can be easily understandable . The project aims to create a space of free discussion and free exchanges of ideas to spread the best practices for a gender equality and equal opportunities policy. The project aims also to improve the skills of participants that can express their ideas through use of digital communication tools. So they can learn to use the digital communication tools . The better tools to obtain the rapid results is the visual communication tools as photos and videos. So the project aims to create a new awareness on the topic of gender equality and at the same time improve the communication and ICT skills of participants useful for the work placement. The project is targeted to 30 young people (5 countries, 5 young people per country + 1 group leader) 18-30 aged that are involved in seminar, workshop, role-play activities, but also in outdoor activities to realize visual and multimedial communication and a short film making used to spread the good policies and practices. The photos, the videos and the short film realized by participants will be individual expression of awareness on the topic. At the end of the exchange it will organized an exhibition of photos and videos realized by participants. The exhibition of photos, videos and short film is proposed both at the end of exchange and at the step of dissemination of results with the objective to spread between citizens the awareness emerged on gender equality and equal opportunities during the exchange activities. The results are the acquisition of a new perspective and awareness about the topic of gender equality and equal opportunities that are acquired by participants at the project, and the possibility to spread this new awareness. The impact envisaged of the project is, on the one hand, a specific attention on the topic gained by the citizens and, on the other hand, the teaching a new lifestyle sensitive to gender issues and to the European policies on gender equality. This will be followed up by diffusion activities to obtain a wide sensibility on the topic that can conduct to the change of the common mentality and to the end of the indifference.
