Youth Centre Villa Elba realized a youth exchange together with our partner from Ireland. This youth took place in Kokkola, Finland 28.6-5.7.2015 and gathers 15 youngsters from Finland and 13 youngsters from Ireland. There was also 2 leader / country, so totally there was 32 participants and leaders. The theme of this youth exchange was multiculturalism and getting to know the other cultures trough history. We handled the theme trough different kind of workshops planned by the youngsters themselves with help from their group leaders. The aim was that the young people will learn more about the history and presence of the participating countries and the cultures. By participating in this project the youngsters got a chance to experience versatility of Europe and learn how important and interesting it is both to maintain different cultures and to know them. Everyone was heard and also given a chance to represent their own culture and background and this way build self confidence in an international atmosphere.
