Freiwillige vor den Vorhang! (Volunteers in front of the curtain)Youth Theatre is a special form of youth work in which the whole human being, with all of its needs, interests and abilities, in the centre. This ideology of working is evident in all of BiondekBühne's arts projects and this will create a high quality EVS for the two volunteers from Finland and the Czech Republic. The Finnish volunteer will come in August 2016 and the Czech volunteer will arrive in September 2016 to Baden near Vienna, Austria. Both will stay for 12 months each so that they can fully experience EVS and be a part of as many of BiondekBühne's projects as possible. They will learn about acting, dancing and making music and will be a part of such projects themselves. Because they will be part of a local organisation which creates multiple arts projects with more than 500 young people, the volunteers will immediately be a part of the local youth scene as well as learning how to act with children from the age of 4.With their work, the volunteers will support BiondekBühne's team at their daily job and will play a major part backstage in organising performances. On top of that they will also get the opportunity to be on the stage themselves if they so wish.By living together with young people close in age and because of the vicinity to many cultural institutions, the volunteers will get the chance in knowing a young Austrian's way of life. They will be supported by a mentor who has a lot of experience with young guests from foreign countries. They will also be part of BiondekBühne's social network. At the end of this EVS project there will be a video which will show the volunteers' personal highlights.
