Living in a multicultural and multi-layered society as well as being exposed to a wide range of challenges can be difficult for young people at different levels. In this context, a problem that is significant for young people is their lack of contact with people from different cultures and thus an increase of the level of intolerance and reinforcement of stereotypes and prejudices among young people. This project aims to bring together youth leaders, youth workers, practitioners and young people in a context of mutual sharing, experiencing and learning about the advantages of the diversity around us as a way of improving social relations and reduce stereotypes and prejudices. Therefore, this training is focused on fighting discrimination and empowering youth workers to act as human rights promoters in their organizations and in their local communities and thus finding their ways of responding in an efficient manner to the challenges raised by our society. The objectives of the project are: 1. To raise awareness among participants about the importance of the diversity and human rights in the work with young people. 2. To encourage participants to act as diversity and human rights multipliers in their communities. 3. To create a set of methods to work in the area of diversity and human rights with young people. This project is the result of cooperation between six partners from six different countries: Actiune in voluntariat – Romania, NECI – Cyprus, Eurocircle - France, Hellenic Youth Participation – Greece, Scambi Europei - Italy and RED – Latvia; it took place in Romania, between the 24th of July and 1st of August, 2015.
