The Group EVS project entitled “Franco-Macedonian Cultural Team” is a long-term volunteering project involving 3 volunteers from France in local youth work activities in Prilep, Macedonia for a period of 12 month starting in September 2016. The volunteers will be actively involved in developing the new service “Franco-Macedonian Cultural Team” within the Youth Information and Counseling center INFO SEGA. The YIC INFO SEGA is a project from Coalition SEGA and it is devoted to inform, educate and counsel young people about various possibilities available for youth (studying abroad, scholarships, volunteering, trainings and seminars, events, information for employment, and etc) through providing a direct and on-line contact with youth. The objective is to create a "Franco-Macedonian Cultural Team" as a new service for all young people and local people who are interested by learning or improving skills and knowledges in French language and culture to foster their chances for an easier placement in the labor market, open their mind about a different culture and values. Another objective is to increase cultural field and cooperation in local level , in the town of Prilep. Through this project we want to support professors and students in their teaching and learning process, and also increase the inter-cultural exchange and cooperation for all the local community of Prilep.There are many types of activities where the volunteers will be involved such as sharing organization of French workshops in elementary and high schools of Prilep, free French classes in YIC, creation of a "Francophone Club", organization of a French "Ciné-Club", work in close collaboration with the French Institute of Skopje and organization of ponctual public events about French and Macedonain cultural traditions. The volunteers will also collaborate with the French Alliances in Bitola and Tetovo on some punctual events, plan some excursions on local level with local youth to discover local heritage, promote local and French culture in writing articles on Info sega website and on the EVS facebook page, and run radio shows. He will also continue to lead the "Language exchange" between locals and volunteers, and ensure the promotion of EVS and EU programs in high schools and faculty.There will be open space for the volunteers to implement their ideas to improve the quality of the project and encourage more and more youngsters to be active in the services delivered by them. During these experiences the volunteers as well as the youngsters will have inter-cultural learning in order to have a better understanding in each other culture.
