Youth Forum - is a nationwide debate created by the young for the young. The aim of the project is to emphasize the voice of youth in shaping youth policy and jointly elaborated postulates, recommendations and proposals for actions, to increase knowledge and social skills of participants, and also to shape young people attitudes so they want participate actively in public and social life. Through the project, young people will have the opportunity to learn cooperation, look for solutions, take dialogue and discussion with experts and decision-makers. The project is an opportunity to meet the needs of autonomy, being visible and heard in society, being involved, necessary for the formation and development of civil society. Youth Forum stimulates creativity and innovation in finding solutions, involves a large number of young people in democratic decision-making, promotes participation of all young people in social and democratic life. The project includes: consultations, debates with secondary school’ pupils participating in the project and organization of the national Youth Forum with the participation of young people, experts and the decision-makers responsible for shaping education system and youth policy. Direct recipients of the project activities include: 72 secondary school pupils , 50 volunteers and minimum of 6 experts and decision-makers. The Project ‘Youth Forum’ was created in response to the low citizenship activity of young people, and in consequence invisibility of the youth as a group in the process of decision-making that concerns them. The project will enable the representatives of youth from the entire country active involvement in decision-making through discussions on important topics for young people and participation in the public and social life. Young people will be involved in activities at every stage of the project. In this project young people are the most important, they will plan and carry out a significant part of the activities in the project. The project is based on the principles of civic education, according to which diverse (in terms of age, gender, place of residence, type of institution, social and economic status) young people learn to debate on issues important to them and the entire society. The formula of the project is conceived in the way that pupils can see value in the participation in social processes, resulting in a greater participation in civic life. ‘Youth Forum’ respects the right of youth to participate in the development of policies concerning them, assumes not only the discussions of the youth, but also dialogue with decision-makers, experts, representatives of organizations and institutions dedicated to youth’ issues and education.
