"Formiamoci in Europa " was born from the need to promote the Lifelong training of teachers, trainers, administrative and management staff. The project, therefore, aims to contribute to the introduction of factors relating to the quality of education, i.e. macro-indicators that identify the teaching profession and the management staff, and the creation of study and experimental research on the methods and strategies to improve the academic success of pupils. Main purpose of the project activity are: the improving of the teaching methods for teachers and the establishment of a common European educational space, and the consequent satisfaction of needs, of the professionals working in the education sector. The guiding principle of the project is, the enrichment, in terms of knowledge and skills, of the employees of the school to promote the academic success of students and to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the organizational management. The direct beneficiaries of the Project are the staff and teachers who work with students from 11 to 14 years, the age group most affected by the phenomenon of early school leaving. Specific objectives of the project are: - The application of a model of quality teaching aiming at the improvement of the teaching profession; - The design of one or more dynamic models of training courses on the teaching profession, that can be experienced by teachers who aren't in training; - The implementation of designed models; - The evaluation of the training courses; - The introduction of innovative elements in the management and organization processes. These are the expected results: - Acquisition of general teaching skills (learning theories, planning methodologies, management competences and evaluation of educational events), specific skills (professional and cultural skills) and transverse skills (learning to learn, learning by doing); - Acquisition of the skills needed to build schools into training institutions or "learning communities" through the sharing of educational activities; - Acquisition of skills relevant to the actions of tutoring, with particular reference to the educational methodologies; - Acquisition of the ability to transfer information and the plan to design and operate in a network system; - Improvement of the organizational structure and management of the school. The project is organised into the following steps: - Identification of training needs of the School; - Selection the type of activity (Staff training in structured course); - Constitution, on the basis of Erasmus + Manual, of a project Commission, consisting of the Headmaster, the Vice headmaster, in charge for the logical-mathematical area, the Headteacher responsible for the European Union projects and funds, the Department of Foreign Languages Headteacher, the Headteacher in charge for the POF and the School Evaluation process; - Identification of personnel to be trained on the basis of a statement of objective prerequisites that demonstrate the skills to participate in mobility activities; - Identification of training institutions abroad on the basis of past experience of the teachers of the school, under the past sub-program " In-Service Training " Comenius, of their educational topic , and on the duration of the activities ; - Preparation of the project and budget calculation ; - Organisation of the mobilities from the logistic and administrative point of view; - Management of the relationships with the training schools; - Interviews with personnel training at the beginning, middle and end of the path; - Monitoring and evaluation of the training ; - Transfer of the training on teachers not in training, organized in teachers departments or subject areas teachers; - Organisation of training sessions in the school area; - Preparation of the final reports and compilation of a web archive for the consultation . Five locatons have been provisionally selected: Spain (English matters study, University of Granada and Jaén), Ireland (Atlantic Language), Malta (E.T.I.), France (CIA Antibes), Czech Republic (ITC International , Prague). The selected schools provide adequate training to the school needs. The selection will be eventually formally subscribed after approval of the project.
