PROJECT
FINISHED
Our school EPLEFPA of Aurillac is an agricultural senior high school who wishes to be opened on the International while allowing its staff to train on long life learning. Our school has never participated in student or staff exchanges in the framework of European projects, our short-term objectives are firstly to train and internationalize our language teachers who will improve their teaching methodology and pedagogy. The students will profit directly of the project by learning better languages. On the other hand, our teachers will have the opportunity to network with international teachers. In the long term, our project aims to create, from 2015/2016, partnerships with international institutions and create exchanges of staff, while continuing to train them. Subsequently, we also aim to create student exchanges with our future partners.
Two English teachers, experienced and tutors of apprentice teacher, will go to a language teacher training during two weeks in the summer of 2014 in England. This training, proposed by EF Education First, will update their teaching methodologies and pedagogy, including the use of digital technologies while building an international network with the other international teachers participating in the training.
Following the training, the two teachers will share their new skills in language teaching with the other language teachers during seminars that we will implement internally from autumn 2014. Also, they will share their experience with all other French colleagues language teachers of MAPA , through our " CONF- LANGUAGES" , a teacher online platform.
During the school year, our teachers and administration, through the network of teachers encountered during training, will get in touch with international institutions in the aim of creating exchange partnerships for the year 2015/2016.
The expected short-term impact is the success of the training of our teachers from the personal point of view of the people trained but also in their classroom. A second component of the success of the project is to create an international network both in terms of staff and teachers. Although it will be difficult to directly assess the impact on our students and it will be easier to appreciate the innovations they bring in their teaching methods and the transmission of their new skills to their colleagues. At the level of internationalization of the institution, the impact will be shown if next year we will be in position to build international partnerships with European secondary schools.
On long-term, the potential international exchanges and therefore the internationalization of staff and students will benefit to them from personal and educational points of views, so also for our institution.
