The project entitled "Initial training VET with European mobility for young @ informatics"" aims at students from the 11th and 12th grade, theoretical chain, real profile, mathematics and computer science specialization, who take part in the initial professional training courses offered by the “Sabin Dragoi” Theoretical High School Deva, Hunedoara county, who will obtain, after promoting the examinations of professional competence, the qualification of Junior Analyst Programmer. The partnership includes: the ” Sabin Dragoi” Theoretical High School Deva as beneficiary, ISIL Informatica and DIGITELOS INFORMÁTICA from Barcelos as host organizations and Intercultural Association Mobility Friends as intermediary. The project answers the need of improvement in the instruction opportunities, so that the participants can possess improved professional skills, which can ensure them a smoother transition from school to active life and can facilitate their insertion on the workforce market. The placement responds to specific needs: the development of practical activities in firms, not in laboratories, equipped with advanced computers, contact with advanced hardware and software techniques, using advanced soft versions which can facilitate the development of an innovative and creative spirit, exchange of opinions and information transfer with experts and the creation of connection bridges with the European labor market. Through placement in hosting organizations, the participants will develop skills, knowledge and abilities such as the following: knowledge about hardware, software, data storage media, computer networks, media of information transfer; abilities of using specific functions of processing structured data, performing elementary operations of processing data, using programming techniques adequate to problem solving and instruments of developing an application; skills in elaborating and creating an application using specific programming media; skills in using data bases. Through direct contact with firms, the students can see how these firms function, they will develop their capacity of elaborating and implementing a project, of working in a cooperative and flexible manner, the capacity of initiative and of answering positively to change, the ability to identify strong points and weak points, to evaluate and take risks in different situations, thus acquiring knowledge from the field of entrepreneurship. Objectives: 1. Improving professional skills typical to a specialist with average qualification in IT and developing his competitiveness so as to facilitate the transition from school to active life and to improve his integration on the labor market. 2. Developing adaptability, creativity, innovative spirit and critical thinking through contact with a new social, economic, cultural and linguistic environment. 3. Acquiring abilities and skills of entrepreneurship, which can determine a future initiation of one’s own business. The syllabi from the working programs of the students are included in the curriculum for the theoretical high schools with real profile, approved by OMECI no. 3410/16.03.2009 for the Computer Science discipline. 11th grade: Directed and undirected graphs. Arbors. Fundamental algorithms. 12th grade: Control systems of data bases: MySQL. Web programming: Java Script and PHP. The mobility will take place in Barcelos, Portugal, in Mars 2015. Results: - Improved skills, knowledge and practical abilities; - Improved linguistic, cultural, social, cooperation and collaboration skills of the participants; - A developed entrepreneur spirit and an elevated self-regard; - Increased chances of integration on the labor market; - Deliverables: 2 didactic films, 3 PP presentations, 30CD of project presentations, 10 posters, 100 fliers, 1 DVD containing presentation algorithms created during the course, 2 tutorials for Java script and MySQL. - workshops
