For successful group-EVS: how to support a good start?

Youth Centre Villa Elba is planning to organize a training course about organization of on arrival training for group-EVS projects. The training course takes place in Kokkola, Finland from 23-28.11.2015 and gathers 16 participants and 2 trainers from Finland, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Bulgaria and Italy. Villa Elba is an active member in the Rückenwind network. Rückenwind is a network of member organizations who implement the SALTO inclusion strategy, in the understanding of all members the mission of Rückenwind is to offer young people with fewer opportunities supervised learning possibilities trough non-formal, informal and experiential learning and education in an international context. We would like to share our experiences and working methods with organizations working in the same field. During the training course we would like to spread our methods and share good practices regarding supporting young people during the EVS-projects. This training course will be based on on non-formal learning and as working methods we will use practical workshops, discussions and simulation games. We want to give the participants new point of views and fresh ideas regarding their work with young people. The participants can learn new working methods regarding team building activities, supporting measures, language training and supporting the improvement of everyday life skills. We hope that by gathering actors’ active in youth field to discuss and exchange ideas about group-EVS projects, we can offer qualitative projects in the future.
