During the project "For more happy faces" our organisation "Youth and Civil Initiatives in the Rose Valley" will host a volunteer from Turkey - a representative of the youth organisation GESOGED - Gençlik Sosyal Geli?im Derne?i from the town of Balikesir. The volunteer will be helping for the daily activities of the Orphanage in Kalofer for a period of 12 months. The main objective of the project is to enhance volunteerism and the active inclusion of disadvantaged young people in various activities as well as offering support and chance for development of the children from social institutions so they don't feel excluded and different from their peers living with parantal care. Among the main activities of the project will be: working with children and youth for their personal development; organising local projects and initiatives; helping the organisation in the development of new projects with fresh ideas and innovative thinking;helping the Orphanage in its daily activities; organising intercultural initiatives in which to include the children from the Orphanage together with their peers from Kalofer. All activities aim at enhancing the intercultural dialogue, tolerance and youth cohesion regardless of their ethnic belonging, religious beliefs, socio-economic condition as well as fostering volunteerism.
