The project For children and youth in Usti nad Labem IX is a group EVS project consisting one volunteer from the Program country and one volunteer from Partner country in hosting non-profit organization YMCA in Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic. Volunteers - 2 girls will spend 12 months in a hosting organization and the main topics of the project are various activities for children and youth threatened by social exclusion, culture, sport and education activities for children, youth and public. Volunteer`s schedules consist these main project activities: leasure activities in the drop-in centre Orion for children and youth threatened by social exclusion, culture sport and education activities for local youth and public, activities for small infants and children and other short-time sport, culture and educational activities and events of YMCA v Usti nad Labem. We consider an EVS project to be a very good opportunity for youth we work with to meet young person from the foreign country and to learn something about live, culture and language of their country. Both volunteers bring the organization useful help and new experience in the area of youth work. We also wanted volunteers to gain valuable experience from live and work in a Czech non-profit organization and learn useful skills and knowledge for their future study or work. Both girls were beneficial for volunteers, our organization and users of our registered social service as well.
