“Foood wasting - Challenge and youth answer!” - is a initiative organized by youth groups from Poland, Romania, Latvia, Greece, Turkey, Malta and Italy. During joint discussions on social networks, we studied the problems of modern Europe, while seeking solutions. Our attention was drawn to the problem of food waste in highly developed countries - also including our countries.Through this project we want to oppose it, while promoting creativity and entrepreneurial attitude among young people, united for a particular purpose.We will implement these plans with a joint meeting of groups from our countries. The meeting will be combined with a range of actions undertaken both before and after the main meeting and focused on social impact as well as putting into practice the ideas developed by us.The main element of the project will be 8-day meeting in Dzięgielów and 2 days in Gliwice, which will bring together a group of 42 participants (6 persons from each country). During this meeting we will work out the practical ways to solve the problem of food waste in our country, particularly among young people. The other activities accompanying the meeting, from which we will start our project, will include public consultations at the level of our countries and developing a website which will use when conducting awareness campaign addressed to our local communities, as well as to establish contacts with entrepreneurs and local decision-makers.
