The present project draws attention on Food Waste in households. The project involves 3 participating organisations: Slovakia-host organisation, Hungary-sending and partner organisation, Romania-sending and partner organisation. The number of participants is 15-15 young people aged 15-25 from each participating countries. The overall number of participants is 45, who, during the 6 day programme carry out the following activities: - get to know about European policy on food waste - get information on how to reduce household food waste - visit and get information on 3 branches of food industry: milk production and processing, fruit processing and meat processing - get aware of sense of donation and charity (unsellable but still quality food can be used for charity purposes) It is expected that the project contributes to higher awarness of the relevant topic and will help reduce household food waste however on a small scale, but the project has the potential to develop and reach more and more people.
