The Youth Centre Villa Elba coordinates "Follow your dreams" project in which 18 young volunteers will arrive in Finland to explore a new culture and country as well as to work together with other young people for the local community.In Europe youth unemployment is very high, and the number of the NEET young people has increased dramatically over the past five years. (Not in Employment, Education or Training).Through this project, we want to offer young people the opportunity to gain work experience and new skills and in that way get an opportunity for them to increase their possibilities to find a study- or workplace. Volunteers will be working in Kokkola Kokkola Cup football tournament together with the local children and young people, as well as other Finnish volunteers, in addition to part of the voluntary work in a local family home to build up a art studio for the residents and some volunteers will be working in collaboration in Veteli village with fixing the nature path and outdoor area and part of the volunteers works in Nykarleby riding at the club, assisting in organizing field competitions.With this project we want to implement Youth Centre Villa Elba role to support the growth and development of children and young people and to provide them with international opportunities and the chance to learn between cultures. Erasmus + program aimes at promoting European values, creating understanding between cultures and the promotion of community and inclusion. Moreover, the specific objectives of the Erasmus + Youth Programme are the development of young peoples key competences and skills, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue. With this project we are aiming also at these objectives.
