Search for European Projects

Förderung fachlicher und interkultureller Kompetenzen als Grundlage für ein integratives Lehren und Lernen in Vielfalt.
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

With our project we have the aim to open not only our school but also our lessons to European topics. We want our education to profit from European believes and values. We hope that by attending the stuctured courses and training programmes, we get to know other lifestyles and educational programmes practised in our neighbouring countries. Thus, we would like to exchange ideas and experiences with colleagues in different countries and look forward to making use of them at our school. We wish to profit especially from courses that deal with tolerance, multiculturalism and the acceptance of variety in the classroom.Another aim of our project is to strengthen language skills and professional qualification. This is why we see the attendance of the courses and trainings as an opportunity to experience European teamwork.Furthermore the project doesn't only give teachers the chance to gain pedagogical experiences in European countries but also enables our students to get in touch with and qualify for the European labour market. Moreover we wish to convey the feeling of a European culture. The team "MWS goes Europe"and the teachers involved want to internationalize our school. It wants to give a pedagogical answer to the challenges of current problems of integration in Europe. The team, which consists of teachers of foreign languages and political science, has first experiences in the realization of European topics and the transmission of intercultural competences. The members would like to expand those. As some colleagues involved are part of the group responsible for the quality development of our school and/or staff councils, synergy effects and the intermediation of the results of our project can be used. The other teachers who will attend the structured courses and training programmes expect support in their everyday work in which they deal with European topics and challenges in an intercultural and diverse classroom. In the long term the project is a first step on our way to common European educational projects with our students.
