PROJECT

Characterized by creative orientation, our school tries to connect different departments, subjects or disciplines in a kind of stimulus for learning motivation - together with designing lessons more sustainably. This peculiarity should be further developed and intensified, as well as deepened and interlinked in the European context. Now that we have got eight of our teachers into shape for intercultural communication during the successful implementation of the previous project, intensifying our study trips and exchange work with foreign schools as well as our education - we want to put crosscuricular teaching strongly into focus, to orientate our school towards successful project work, because this will further improve the efficiency of learning motivation for our students. In the current project we plan to train further eight participants - in English and intercultural communication - to make them fit for the successor project (European theatreproject at the intersection of physics, philosophy, religion and history etc). In this sense, we integrate also teachers of English, Theatre, religion and music into the project. (Anna C Naumann, English and theatre teacher, is experienced as a theatre director on a professional level. Bettina Grothe: vice principal and philosophy teacher, is developing the school programme) Three teachers (philosophy, English, Theatre and history) will participate in soft skills, teamworking courses in England. Three teachers (Musik, Physik and history) are going to Malta - refreshing and consolidating their English knowledge, combined with intercultural communication. Two teachers (English, Theatre and religion) participate in courses in Italy - drama teaching and European management. We expect that these courses will enable the relevant teachers to create the successor project sustainably (as described above), integrating the necessary preparations in their lessons. The long-term benefits are: developing school-based curricular based on project work and European networking.
