The Ministry Of Education and Science of Latvia (hereinafter - Ministry) intends to participate in EUROSTUDENT VI initiative. The Ministry has signed the Project Contract for EUROSTUDENT VI and sent it by post to the Project Coordinator (Deutsches Zentrum fuer Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsforschung GmbH).Previously the Ministry has carried out the respective research in 2012.The Ministry is responsible for education, science, sports, youth and state language policies in Latvia.Ministry will ensure the appointment of the national research team and coordinate the research with the Project Coordinator. Herewith the Ministry would like to apply for the grant co-financing the participation fee.The reason to participate is to have a comparable cross- country data on the social dimension of the higher education.The planned output is to obtain the high - quality data of political relevance on a number of indicators characterizing the research field and to learn from the peer- review.The impact of the research is to form a basis for the evidence- based policy in the sphere of higher education, in particular on it's accessibility, social conditions of the students and issues to be addressed.
