FILMAKER project brought together 56 participants from Romania, Iceland, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Estonia for 12 days in Busteni, Romania, in the period of 17-28th October, 2014, to address the topic of entrepreneurship and youth employment by creative methods of non-formal education, as: Public Café , Living Library , creating screenplays, making short films and animated films .
During the 12 days of activities, the participants divided in intercultural teams created 9 short films and 6 animated films on the theme of entrepreneurship and youth employment that were promoted in all 7 partner countries and at European level.
The problem that the project addressed was unemployment among young people and specifically among young people with artistic and visual media skills and aspirations. Arts are very weak represented for young people on labor market in Europe, so talented young people come to be socially excluded. Young people with artistic and media skills and aspirations are not prepared for the labor market.
Purpose: Developing entrepreneurial and employability skills of young people on the labor market of creative and visual media
Objectives:
OB1. Developing skills for employability, entrepreneurship, personal development and audio / video, script writing and film making - to 56 young participants from 7 European countries in 12 days in Busteni, Romania
OB2. Stimulating intercultural, European citizenship and active citizenship to 56 young people from Romania , Estonia , Italy, Turkey, Poland, Spain, Iceland by making at least 6 short intercultural films and 4 animated films to promote entrepreneurship and youth employment, in 12 days in Busteni, Romania
OB3. Developing English communication skills through creative methods, to 56 young in 12 days, in Busteni, Romania
OB4. Creating a portfolio of 6 short films and 4 animated films to prove the film, media, acting, writing screenplays and other competencies developed in the project by 56 young people, 12 days, in Busteni, Romania
OB5. Developing the international capacity of partner youth organizations from 7 Programme Countries to support young people, by the intercultural exchange of experiences on the topic of media, entrepreneurship, employment and by developing a portfolio of 10 youth films, in 12 days, in Busteni, Romania
The films realized by participants during the project activities are multimedia tools that help young people from everywhere to meditate to their career and possibilities of inclusion on the labor market, including the entrepreneurship, causing them to reflect on their passions and ways to overcome the obstacles in achieving their professional goals.
