The FELLOW-MUNDUS project aims to strengthen the cooperation between European Union Higher Education Institutions and Latin-American Universities, enabling the mobility of students, researchers and academic staff through a scholarship scheme, developing individuals’ curriculum, enhancing the transfer of know-how and the sharing of experiences and good practices. It will provide the Latin-American (LA) Higher Education Institutions the opportunity to build up a university exchange scheme, modeled under the principles of the Bologna Accord and the guidelines of the Erasmus Programme.The specific goals for these mobilities are:• To develop and intensify student, researcher and academic staff mobility from Latin American universities, including those who belong to vulnerable groups, so that they can obtain qualifications and/or experience in European universities;• To promote cooperation and mobility of higher education agents from Latin American universities, contributing to the development of its human resources and capacity for international cooperation;• To promote innovation, creativity, competitiveness, employability and the strengthening of the field of business of Latin American countries involved in the Consortium;• To support projects which will contribute to the development of Information and Communication Technologies;• Encourage the best use of results, innovative products and processes;• To share good practices in managing exchanges, based on equal opportunity and non-discrimination principles;• To contribute to the mutual enrichment of societies, to the development of suitable qualifications for men and women in the workplace and to the open mindedness and international experience.
