The project 'Fachowo - zawodowo ' was aimed at 75 students (including 53 girls and 22 boys ) of Zespół Szkół Nr 1 im. Zgierz of the following professions :
1. tourist services - 14 students ( 13 girls and 1 boy)
2. nutrition and food services - 29 students ( 19 girls and 10 boys )
3. digital image processing - 13 students ( 5 girls and 8 boys )
4. economists - 19 students ( 16 girls and 3 boys ) .
The main aims, based on the needs of the participants and the participants, schools and employers were as follows:
1. to improve the quality of practical training at school
2. to enable the acquisition of practical skills, which would turn attractive on the labour market ,
3. enhancing growth in language and social skills of participating students ,
4. students' personal development,
5. to enable the participants to get acquainted with the requirements of the European labour market, as well as its operating rules.
The participants of the project have taken part in:
1. a 20 - hour course of basic skills in Spanish , aimed at learning basic professional vocabulary useful at work and basic phrases used in interpersonal relations ,
2. a 20 -hour course of English , reminding the vocabulary and phrases gained in the course of school.
3. a 8-hour cultural preparation and guidance .
Preparation courses led to a two-week internships in the following locations:
1. students in the professions of tourist services (14 participants) nutrition and food services (29 participants) went for the training in Córdoba and Granada, Spain
2. students in the professions of economist (19 participants), digital graphics processing (13 learners) took part in the training in Londonderry in Northern Ireland in the UK.
Foreign partners, participating in the project, provided all the participants with an attractive place for the training , mentoring and interesting cultural preparation .
All the activities mentioned above are thought to enable the project to achieve the following results:
1. the school (the applicant) has improved the quality of vocational training,
2. 75 participating students have raised their professional skills ,
3. 75 participating students have raised their language and social skills,
4. at least 80 % of the participants have noticed their personal development ( self-esteem, self-confidence , self-reliance , etc. )
5. at least 80 % of the participants have raised their consciousness to freely choose their place of work.
The project has had an impact on its participants, school , employers, local community , local authorities and other subjects in the country and the European Union.
