We would like to maintain strong cooperation with partner organisations and hope to work together in the long term with our future projects. Our project focusing on a European problem. In most of European rural areas the number of young people decreasing as consequence of negativ trend in demographic growth. Young people move to urban areas to live, going to work in other countries, or living behind their country forever. One possible solution could be by time for this problem the active participation of youngsters in rural development programs. To achieve this goal we should start programs to ensure pro-active co-operation of young people in rural areas and promote the advantages of rural lifestyle. Our project is dedicated to create an album through individual portraits and stories of local people which is the imprint of rural lifestyle this days in Hungary through foreign volunteers eyes with all positive and negative aspects. The main goal of the project is to discover the benefit of rural lifestyle, save and promote natural and cultural heritage. We would like enhance local identity of young people through proactive participation in wide range of creative programs. Final products of the project are able to promote the project topics and result in Europe wide. During the project the volunteers take part in different activities. They visit local people regularly through home hospitality activities and recognise the situation local sociaty. They organise international evenings to introduce their own culture. In the local schools (Sellye, Siklós, Vajszló) we run non-formal educational workshops with the volunteers about topics like sustainability, opportunities in EU and prejudice. We often organise different programmes (presentations, creative workshops, exhibitions, markets) in the Greenway Center, owned by the receiving organisation, to involve the local people. During the 10 months we organise monthly bike trips along the Ormánság Greenway. The goal is to involve locals so they can see the buildings and natural resources through the European view of the volunteers. Involving the local youngsters we take photos in the region, set up a printed book with portraits and individual stories of local people. The volunteers can also try to grow plants in the small garden of the NGO. Volunteers will create with help of local people a cook-book which will include traditional recipes from Ormánság and Europe. The volunteers are going to live in a small village in the Ormánság to get to know the rural life. The volunteers will learn Hungarian language at the beginning of the project, which helps their communication with the locals. The receiving organisation focuses on the learning process of the volunteers, and at the end of the project we mention all the results in the Youthpass. The learning process and self development process of the volunteers are supported by the EVS coordinator, director of the NGO, mentor and the coach. Professional workers support the volunteers own project proposal during the service, to have a long distance result after the volunteers return home. On return to their home countries, the volunteers can help the work of the sending organisation, spread the opportunities of the EVS project, express their own experience at open events. In the Ormánság we help to better the understanding of common european awereness, cultural and language varieties in direct and indirect ways.
