PROJECT
FINISHED
Nowadays young people are surrounded by new technology, which they are actively using during their free time. They are less interested in traditional forms of spending their time, they prefer to watch movie rather that read a book or go to the theatre.Lublin has a strong cultural offer (constantly being broaden) for young people, and theater is a strong part of this offer. Each year during summer time, we have quite a lot of cultural events. This is a perfect place to start adventure with theatre.By implementation of this project we would like to show to young people that theatre may be fun and interesting way of spending their time.We hope that thanks to participation in this project, young people will have opportunity to see completely different side of theater. During the exchange, young participants will visits theatres in Lublin and will have the opportunity to see how they work (by talking with people who work in different types of theatres). They will also have opportunity to learn some things connected with work at and behind the scene: voice emission, self-expression , drama improvisation, creating scenography and many others. At the end of exchange we plan to organize a theatrical performance prepared by the participants entitled ‘’Romeo and Juliet – a modern Verona’’. From the very beginning of the project (just after having information that we were accepted for funding) young people will start to work on the scenography for performance, and during the exchange they will have rehearsals, so that after a week of exchange they will be able to perform. Dialogs during the performance will be in all languages at the same time (each participant will have his/her lines in his/her mother tohgue). Performance will be shown in one of theatres in Lublin. It will be also recorded and disseminated among young people so that to show them how fun theatre may be.
