As part of Coláiste Bhaile Chláir's School Self Evaluation (SSE), we have made teachers professional development and innovative teaching methodologies with the integration of ICT as priorities. We also are in the process of reviewing the role of middle management in the school and we are developing an autistic unit in our school which will grow over the next six years, with this in mind, we are conscious of gaining valuable experience in the area of special needs. These reasons give a context to the objectives of this project. The objectives been; (1) We want to job-shadow in different classes and subjects with the goal of observing the integrated use of ICT in the classroom, (2) Look at the roles and activities of middle management in the school with a view of improving the role of middle management in our own school and (3) Observe the teaching and activities carried out in the special needs unit in the school and compare it to the teaching methodologies and activities used in our new 'Cúnamh' autistic unit.Following a whole school meeting, three participants have been chosen that have a background and expertise with each of our objectives highlighted above. Eoghan Ó Ceallaigh (project coordinator) as an assistant principal who will look at the role of middle management in the host school and will take note of possible improvements in the role of middle management in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir. Lara Dabbagh is an assistant principal with a focus on curriculum development and classroom innovation will explore how ICT is integrated into the classroom in the host school. Finally, Gareth Callan, an assistant principle with responsibly for ICT coordination and development will focus on the technology being used by the host school. The methodology used to complete this project will involve these teachers job-shadowing in classes and activities relayed to their subject area. We envisage that this project will have consequences for the whole school. General classroom teaching using ICT can be improved based on the good experiences encountered in our host school. We hope that job-shadowing in the special needs school at Noret School will give fresh ideas and activities which can be implemented in our autistic 'Cúnamh' unit at Coláiste Bhaile Chláir. Finally, the long term benefits should include that a sharing of teaching resources at an international level can be set up between ourselves and our host school . We plan that not only teachers will collaborate internationally but that links can be formed where students in their subject areas can collaborate. Finally, we want to create a European inter-cultural learning environment in our school using the successful integration of ICT in the classroom and collaborations with our Erasmus+ host school.
