The project "European experience in the labor market improved lT skills" is meant for 24 students from 11th and 12th forms , from theoretical high school, real profile, mathematics-informatics, intensive informatics. The starting point of the project was the idea that nowadays we are surrounded by computers and there is a steady growth in the number of computer users. Still, we noticed that in our school the future graduates are not very well prepared for this challenge because the use of computers in the teaching process is sometimes rigid and we did not always have the efficiency we wanted to. This situation has more causes: the quality of the software and the programs, the use of some out of date calculation systems, too few practical tasks , the lack of possibility to practise in a modern IT company , the absence of a relationship with specialists using the latest technology. In these circumstances, the project we propose is meant to facilitate the access of the participants to quality learning so as to acquire European IT competences and experiences , in order to be better prepared for the job market. The project aims to: - develop the quality of education in this field and to modernise it, through a flexible adaptation to the latest changes - optimise the passing from school life to professional life and to offer competitive graduates on the job market - practise the theoretical notions in companies with the latest hardware and software equipment and technology - improve the ability of team work, by respecting the tasks and the deadlines - make a traineeship in a European company, which will help students to gain useful experience - raise students’ adaptability , by gainig better linguistic competencies of communicating in a foreign language, namely English Objectives: 1. Develop knowledge, abilities and competencies in the field of IT , by practicing visual programming in specialized IT companies, in order to have access to the job market. 2.Create some cooperation platforms with companies from Spain , which will enable our school to find out more about European job market and to develop students’ knowledge about this aspect . 3. Improve the capacity to understand and get used to other cultures and groups, by practising a foreign language and direct contact with a different environment. Partners: 1. Intermediary organisation :MEP Europrojects Granada The mobility will take place in two stages, 12 students + 1 accompanying teacher/stage in January and September 2016. This placement is specialised European organisations is meant to develop important professional competencies by practising and developing basic concepts of visual programming, to identify programming techniques and use them creatively in problem solving, to become familiar to the latest programs used by modern companies. Outcomes: For participants: - performances in the IT field for the 24 students involved - 24 portfolios - sitting the exam for professional competencies by all the participants - sitting the ECDL exam for at least 15 students from the - to develop communication skills in English and Spanish - improvement of the behavioural profile of the participants For the beneficiary institution: - a better and more modern style of teaching - a greater motivation for study from all the students of the school - new applications for projects with non refundable funds Final products: - a facebook profile - site of the project with photo gallery - good practices guide
