This project entitled Experiência Além Fronteiras, will include 30 students from different professional courses (Multimedia, Photography and Laboratory Analysis) and 15 people from the school staff. In respect of those students, this opportunity will contribute to their personal and professional development as well, thereby boosting their professional integration in the job market. Regarding the staff, this will improve their professional skills combining "soft and hard skills" to meet the constant needs of students and to deal with their social, cultural and linguistic diversity. The activities to be developed by the students will mainly involve work placements in their area of training, allowing to apply, develop and enhance the knowledge acquired throughout the course. Regarding the staff, the proposed activities will enable participants to refine their skills at various levels, sharing methodologies and innovative teaching strategies. The school also aims at promoting the European dimension in education, supporting the development of cooperation activities between schools, reinforcing the attractiveness of vocational education and training and assisting in staff mobility. Young people will be able to acquire skills and basic life skills necessary for their personal development, employability, future employment and active european citizenship. This project meets the goals set in the educational project of the Agrupamento de Escolas Oliveira Júnior, allowing both the students and staff, the strengthening and improvement of their knowledge, skills and qualifications in the workplace. Overall, this experience will enable all the people involved to develop knowledge and awareness of the diversity and value of european cultures and languages, thus contributing to the formation of citizens of the world and for the world.
