The project is for one volunteer for a period of 10 months on a daily activities center called "La Bergue", located on Cranves Sales, near to Annemasse (Haute Savoie). The "Centre de la Bergue" is property of Annemasse Les Voirons Agglomération, animated and managed (by an Public Service Delegation) by F.O.L 7. The aim of this federation is to allow access spare-time activities for all in the nature. This recreation center is labeled CED ( Citizenship, Environment and Sustainable Development). Located on Cranves Sales, this home leisure without accomodations receive children between 4 and 15 years old during wednesdays afternoons and school classes with their teachers. Premises, properties of Annemasse-Les Voirons Agglomération, are located in a 2-hectare park with a pedagogical farm (welcoming goats, sheeps, rabbits, hens, ducks, pig...) and two ponds, an arboretum, a sports fiel grass, a sport field tar, two pools opened during summer, a building with activity rooms reserved for children under 6 years old, and one main building with offices, activity rooms, one multipurpose room and one refectory. Volunteer comes support the work of the permanent team ont the development of an educational center around the environment, sustainable development and citizenship with the public child. This educational work will mainly be done in two areas: - on reception of children during wednesdays afternoons and school holidays. Team and volunteer will build on the learning spaces built before: mini pets zoo, ponds, arboretum but also new tools create public awareness on these issues. - on punctual reception of classrooms. Team and volunteer will organize days for classrooms, setting up activities about differents topics (sorting and recycling wastes; manufacturing of apple juice, road safety...) The action will be just as EVS to develop, maintain outdoor spaces, treat animals... that lead groups of children with the rest of the team. They also have the opportunity to spend the degree of BAFA. Hosting volunteer enable us to open the debate on the theme of sustainable development to other territories in Europe, to have a more comprehensive understanding of the issues, enhance cultural exchange. This project will also be part of other projects and systems put in place by the FOL and its partners int the territory: the weeks of education against discrimination and racism, week of international solidarity, the European Week Off Waste...
