With its two majors Europeans and International Airports, the « Grand Roissy-Le Bourget » region is open to the world. Paris CDG is the 2nd European Airport for traffic and Paris Le Bourget 1st European Airport for business traffic. This area, driven by a significant business momentum, is a major area in France for international projects and investments. However, it suffers from difficulties to integrate in the local companies a significant portion of its population: younger, less graduated and overall more impacted by unemployment than the average Paris suburb population. The major challenge is therefore to facilitate to this local population the access to the jobs opportunities generated by this dynamic labor pool.Studies managed by the “GIP Emploi Roissy” and its partners have identified 4 structuring professional sectors able to generate jobs: logistics & transport, tourism related to business trips, international business and airport services. For these sectors, jobs related to customer interaction are highly important and able to generate professional opportunitiesIn order to get access to these jobs, due to the international context of this area, it requires foreign languages knowledges and the ability to work in a multicultural environment. To manage this specific challenge, the “GIP Emploi Roissy “is leading a dedicated consortium of 4 structures specialized in supporting Job seekers. They are distributed on the 3 aera of “Grand Roissy - Le Bourget” region: a local center for employment in Seine-et-Marne (Mitry-Mory), a local center for employment in Seine-Saint-Denis (Bondy), a “second chance school” in Val d’Oise (Sarcelles) and the local center for employment in the airport business area of Paris CDG airport. The goal of this project is to allow 71 young adults from the area to benefit from a qualification program organized in 3 steps:1. Validation of both Professional project and language training.2. Foreign work experience for a duration from 6 to 12 weeks in Ireland, United Kingdom or Spain.3. After return, specific support to find a job or a training program providing a formal certification.15 of these 71 youngsters, far away from employment, will benefit from this initiative including a 6 weeks’ foreign stay and specific preparation and follow up program allowing to get access to a job or a training. The 56 other youngsters, closer to employment, will be offered a 12 weeks’ program designed to develop new specifics competencies in relationship with customer interaction and English or Spanish language. These mobility periods are supported by European partners supporting the youngsters in their professional environment and also providing them access to housing (accommodation including or half dinner), in hosting family or apartment. In order to improve the skills of the consortium members and share best practices around supporting jobseekers abroad, it is proposed to organize a mobility session for 2 groups of 5 professionals in Spain and England. This partnership project is based on proven methodologies already validated by the « GIP ». It will be solidified by a contract between each partner and the “GIP” and the establishment of shared tools. Each contract will establish the term & conditions of the project and the commitment of the various parties securing its definition and execution traceability. The shared tools will also facilitate the visibility of the reporting specifically for the mobility periods.A steering committee will be nominated in order to ensure coordination between the various stakeholders of the project and ensure seamless communication. The ENVOL Pro project will allow:- To the youngsters benefiting from it, to develop know how and attitude on line with the expectations of the companies in the region regarding customer facing position and access to training requiring good languages knowledges. - For the companies to integrate new employees able to handle multicultural customers with high language knowledge expectations.- For specialists in employment, to develop new competencies and know-how allowing to support an audience through mobility initiatives designed to achieve professional goals.More generally this project is embedded in a dynamic pool characterized by the common goal of economical and training stakeholders to adapt the training offering to the needs of the companies in this region and their commitment to both initial and ongoing training.Because Language skills is fundamental to address the critical needs of the companies of the region, the ENVOL Pro has a vocation to develop in the context of future partnerships with structures from other countries (outside of the EU, particularly with Canada).
