FINISHED
Templemore College of Further Education is eager to ensure that its students benefit from the Erasmus+ programme in 2014-2015. Here is a summary of the funding we are applying for in this application.
- We hope to send 15 graduates on a 3-week work placement in France or Spain. On completion of their FETAC level 5 or level 6 course, the graduates will travel to either Niort in Poitou-Charentes, or Ubeda, Andalusia, Spain, where it is proposed that they work in a industry-related environment for three weeks during the month of June 2015.
- We also are seeking funding to place two of our recent graduates, one in France and one in Spain, for an 8-month period from October 2014 to May 2015.
- We hope to send an accompanying person with each of the above student mobility flows, that is, we are applying for funding for 4 accompanying on one-week-long monitoring visits.
- We hope to secure funding for 4 staff members to participate in VET training abroad.
- We hope to welcome 2 staff members from IES VILLABLANCA, Madrid, Spain. We are not seeking any funding in this application, but we would hope to secure funding for 2 staff members to participate in teaching observation/job shadowing in this partner college in Madrid in 2015-2016.
Though we will encourage our students to use the online language learning tools, when they become available, we feel that our students have particular requirement for classroom-based learning. To overcome the problem of no funding for linguistic preparation, we plan to arrange for one student teacher of Spanish and one student teacher of French to spend a teacher exchange period in our college prior to participants traveling abroad.
