Project Exchange to Change, Move to Improve is an international project composed within Erasmus+ programme, and it belongs to Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals. There are two partners involved, Mladinski center Trbovlje MCT, which will take part as sending institution, and Associação Juvenil de Peniche AJP as hosting organization. The project will take place in Peniche (Portugalska) and will last for 31 days, from 4th of May 2015 until 3rd of June 2015. The only participant in this project will be 25 year old Maja Klenovšek, who obtained wide range of working experiences in the field of youth work while working in Mladinski center Trbovlje, in addition to her studies of Pedagogy of art.
The main fields covered during the project are Youth (Participation, Youth work, Youth Politics); International cooperation and Entrepreneurship. The purpose of the project is an exchange of good practices in the field of youth work; awareness of activities for local youth in the field of unemployment; reinforcement of partnership between institutions and preparation of a new international project in common. The objectives of the project are an exchange of at least 4 good practices in the field of youth work and project management; development of a new work method in the field youth work; application of a new international project until October 2015 deadline; and issuing a Youthpass and Europass certificates, which will record the fore mentioned objectives.
The project represents a unique opportunity for an exchange of professional knowledge in the field of youth work, acquired competences as results of social and pedagogical experiences and internationally determined lessons of social intelligence on the global level. The project will give Maja an opportunity to demonstrate her sense of initiative, entrepreneurship and creativity at work, as well as the possibility of contributing to the development of foreign local community and her sense of belonging to it. The project will have a direct impact on all parties involved, i.e. a participant, local and foreign youngsters, youth workers, local community and partner organizations, particularly: by emphasizing creativity in the field of youth work and active involvement in the area of unemployment, by developing new method of work, by enhancing interpersonal, intercultural and international relations, by preventing and overcoming prejudgments, racism and other attitudes leading to exclusion, by promoting European cooperation in the youth field and by promoting the Erasmus + programme and the possibilities and opportunities that it provides.
The participant wishes to take advantage of the project for the completion of developing and acquiring competencies and skills needed for successful career in the field of youth work. She wants to start her own organization in the field of youth work, which will enable an application of wide range of skills that she has acquired through various forms of formal and informal education. The project represents the last logical step in this direction, an investment in further work within the program Erasmus + and also solutions to participant’s unemployment.
