Programs with highly integrated multi-institutional undergraduate and graduate curricula and iead to the awarding ofdual or joint degrees have become more prevalent in Europe over the past iwo decades. There are many similartransatlantic programs involving higher education institutions in the E.U. and U.S., but not as widespread as those inEurope. We propose a detailed study of the different schemes utilized by such programs in both the E.U. and the U.S.to provide guidance for emerging transatlantic projects and produce benchmark criteria. We will also work closely withrepresentatives from industrial and professional partners that are capable of providing objective and reliable feedback.
