EVS VOLUNTEERS HAVE WINGS AT PORDENONELEGGE
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Short Term project including 10 young people coming from France, Germany, Hungary and Spain, the majority of them are people with fewer opportunities as this is the target group the sending organizations work with. This project will be the first time the volunteers experience a voluntary activity abroad in a social and cultural environment and will experiment what Inclusion means in Pordenone. We'll try to make them feel they can mutually give and receive either with people with special needs or with their peers. These volunteers will work alongside professional educators in Anffas and will animate with games and cultural presentations the people with special needs's afternoons. From the 16th till the 20th of September they will support the Chief Yellow Angels of the cultural event Pordenonelegge to prepare and patrol the stands where more than 350 authors will present their works, to indicate the right place to go to the public and eventually accompany the foreign authors if they speak their language. It has to be mentioned that the volunteers will always have some supervisors or educators working with them and will never be left alone either in Anffas or Pordenonelegge, apart in their free time. This project will for sure enhance the volunteers intercultural competences together with their "soft skills" such as self-confidence, team work, communication.
