EVS-Voice Me with Media
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Mar 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Voice Me with Media The project aims to help NGOs, activists, youth workers and youths to develop their skills and capacity for more effective and purposeful communication with wider audience. They are widely known in need of guidance and support in terms of social and economic participation as well as effective use of media and communication tools for purposeful democratic participation. The objective is encouraging the aforementioned individuals to gain new employable skills (digital/media) and participate into the society democratically using media and digital tools, while helping NGOs and activists to develop their media skills and effective campaigning tools through capacity buildings , counseling and training. For this project we have 3 participants from Spain, Hungary and Russia. They have all educational background and experience from different areas of media which they will be able to use and also improve through the project. The main activities of the project is contacting the NGOs and activists as well as individual youth and adult groups who needs some guidance in the field of media and communication to disseminate and communicate their messages and activities. We will provide both training, and counseling and practical support to those in the field of design, social media and media communication strategy and use of media tools for better social participation and effective advocacy campaigning. In Norway the project will help NGOs, the immigrant communities and youth to have higher media literacy and learn using both traditional and social media efficiently while getting more involved in the community. By improving the NGO's capacity we will also be promoting volunteer work in the country. The experience from this project can be shared with other NGOs working within media in Europe or other countries to help them overcome problems related to media illiteracy in their region.
