Peer-Leader-International
The focus of this project is to support young people coming from non-priviledged families in their work organizing projects for sustainable development on local, regional and international levels. This idea came through an evaluation of international meetings 14 years ago.
We support them by organzing international networks for the exchange of innovative ideas or background informations. We also strengthen their personalities with outcome-based and life-skill-oriented educational work in an international context. . Meanwhile we have 4 national teams and 7 teams abroad (South-Africa, Brazil, Bosnia, Tunesia, Belarus) with totally 200 young people. Those peer-leaders are qualified by seminars,, they form teams and sub-groups and act following the motto PLAY - LEARN - CHANGE.
The network uses international meeting, internet-communication and the assistance of young volunteers in various programmes.
50% of the young people stay longer than 3 years in the project and develop leadership on local, reggional and international level. Some are making their "master" during a voluntary year like EVS. This network produces strong personalities and active designers of global development.
