One of the host organisation in Szekszárd (South of Hungary) is Szekszárd Városi Önkormányzat Szociális Központ Szekszárd Fogyatékosok Nappali Intézménye. The organisation is a daily home for disabled children and young people, provided possibilities to get new knowledges and skills. The professional staff help them personal therapy and developing programs. Every day there are several kind of activities: education, workshops, sport opportunities, games. There are often organised programs out of the building: swimming, horse therapy, excursions etc. The volunteer helped in this activities added her knowledge according her interests. The volunteer came long term project from France. The voluntary service started 1/October in 2014 for 10 months. The French girl worked with a member of the staff as an assistant helping in the work, mainly in the leisure time activities. She taken part in preparing and organising several workshops/programs with a professional directon of the staff.
The Family day care centre - legal name: Kék Madár Alapítvány Játékkuckó és Családi napközije- is an organisation which provides several kind of activities for small children and their families. The organisation hosts one volunteer from France for 10 months. The activity started: 01/02/2014. The main task is the daily care for small children. It is not a general day-nursury or kindergarten, but their work is more flexible, they can adapt their services for the claims of the families. The volunteer taken part in the daily activities with children, helped the work of the staff, added his own ideas. The organisation and volunteer have got a live contact with the families. They organised common programs several times. The volunteer could add his ideas, improving the programs. At the coordinating youth association he could join common programs with other evs volunteers.
There was provided possibilities to make own projects, helped by the staff, and he could take part in other programs, workshops at the cooridnating foundation (for ex. activities with young people who have disadvantaged background or less opportunities). He could join to programs which were organised by evs volunteers at the coordinating organisation. Because of the mobility of host organisation the volunteers hade a chance to get a picture about other volunteer porject.
