The project "Evrópsk ungmenna menning og lýðræði. Erum við öll á sama blaði ?" is an exchange project between the youth council from Seltjarnarnes ( Iceland ) and the youth council from Lund ( Sweden ) where 18 members of these youth councilsand four group leaders spend a week together in Iceland. The main theme of the project is " The influence of the youth and their participation in the community " and the goal of this project is to make young people more conscious of their cultural situation and give them tools and opportunities to create ways to use culture as a way to influence.With very diverse activities, such as exploring the nature of Iceland, visiting the Icelandic parliament and institutions in Reykjavík that resolve to help young people, the groups will get to know each other´s cultures as well as their own and also get to know each other by solving problems together and working on projects that are designed to educate and mature the participants. At the end of the project the whole group will sit down and discuss the trip and what they have learned. They will also try to find ways for the youth of these countries to work together to build a better European society.
