The project "European dimension for quality education" reflects the need for continuing professional development of the teaching staff in 35 Secondary school 'Dobri Voinikov'. The main objective of the project is to harmonize teachers' skills with the European standards for quality educational services. Nineteen teachers from elementary, junior high and high school, participating in the planned CPD activities and job shadowing activities, will have the opportunity to acquire skills to develop their students’ key competencies which is a priority in the development of all the education systems in Europe. This project focuses specifically on three of them , namely: - Developing digital literacy – making use of ICT in the wider context - in support of the educational process, school management, project activities, e.g. international online projects, etc. - Development of social skills and civic competencies – making use of innovative methods to boost students’ motivation and active involvement; - Development of communication skills in foreign languages - being related to the foreign language specialization of the school profile and the need to use state-of-the-art teaching approaches . Expected results and impact: 1. Synchronization of teachers’ training activities with the European achievements; 2 . Creating opportunities for sharing good ideas, experiences and competencies between different institutions and countries; 3 . Expanding the participants’cultural horizons and knowledge of the European education systems; 4 . Flexibility and adaptability in the application of new concepts in the classroom; 5 . Sharing results with a wide range of colleagues: - In our school - through presentations and lessons demonstrations; - In Bulgaria - through publication reporting the outcomes of newly acquired skills and experience; - Internationally - through participation in international projects. The upmost goal for Dobri Voinikov School is providing highest quality services through motivated and highly qualified teachers.
