Recently in the tourist industry in Bulgaria undergoing important changes. On one hand the hotels and restaurants category has become higher, the base has renovated and it has the same quality as in the developed tourist destinations as Italy, and especially Florence. However on the other hand this is in contrast with the poor quality of service in our country as a result of insufficient qualification of the working in the tourism industry staff. The result as a whole is that this trend has a negative impact on the quality and competitiveness of the supplied tourist products in the hotels and restaurants in Bulgaria. To overcome the existing problem, it is necessary to pay special attention to all skills and competencies of staff in tourism. Problems with the quality of professional training of young people, the shortage of staff and youth unemployment are all over in Europe. All European countries make efforts to develop strategies to overcome these problems. In the context of what has been said so far the project is a reflection of one of the main ideas in European policies about lifelong learning, that the international mobility has become an integral part of vocational education and training. This will help the students to achieve a high level of qualification, which is essential for their first successful inclusion in the labor market or for improvement of their professional career. In accordance with these policies, through this project Vocational School of Tourism "Dr Vasil Beron" aims to provide a quality vocational training, giving a new European dimension to the practical training, with the result that young people have the opportunity to test and expand their competences in the profession they are studying (in area of restaurants, hotels, tourism). This aim will be achieved through mobility for 20 students from PGT in Florence, Italy, within two weeks. Participants are going to be students from 10th and 11th grade, trained in professions: Restaurateur, Chef, Hotels and specialties: Organization of Tourism and Leisure time and Tourist animation. The work program includes internships in selected companies in sector of tourism and catering. Students will develop professional knowledge and skills, will compare various professional techniques and technologies, will learn different methods of market research for imposition of a new product and how to boost sales. Along with this all students will improve their language skills, will learn how to work in a multicultural environment. The results, which are expected to be achieved through this mobility are : to expand the professional skills of students and their skills to analyze the market, to develop and apply methods to boost sales, to increase the employment potential of the participants. Other important results that we aim to achieve with our project are:-Introduction of new training methods that will develop already existing practices and improve the educational level in our vocational schools;-Development of transnational cooperation between partner organizations and tourism companies in the town. Florence, Italy and exchange good practices among participating countries. This project aims to support the Common European system of recognition of professional competences and transfer of credits in vocational education and training, because we are going to use tools created by the project LEO quali-TC.The impact and benefits of the project can be found in several directions:-participants will increase the opportunities for a successful career;-tourist companies in Veliko Tarnovo and the region will be able to hire workers who have acquired practical experience in leading European companies in the field of tourism .;-educational system could use a new method of practical training that will improve the educational level.
