Vocational School of Transport was established in 1949. It is located in Ruse, Bulgaria, and has established traditions in the field of Transport and Transport equipment. Numerous awards and honors attest to expertise and ambition of the staff and trainees. Beneficiaries under the project are students aged 16-20, who undergo a 4-year course of study in the following fields: Transport Equipment Fitter /Transport Equipment/, Load-handling Equipment Operator /Battery- and ICE trucks/; Material Handling Equipment mounted of Road Vehicles Operator, Mechatronics. Direct beneficiaries are 16 /sixteen/ students trained in the said specialties. In the course of study they acquire practical skills at companies working in the field of diagnostics, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles. Bulgaria's European Union membership calls for the preparation of qualified professionals, needing more practical skills and know-how in their training in the field of high-tech cars diagnostics, service and repair. Therefore, it necessary for them to carry out their practice in countries with a developed automotive industry and established good practices and experience in providing qualification in this particular field. Taking into account the need for us to be in step with the European standards we have been applying and participating under "Erasmus+" Programme, Mobility in a partnership with a training organizations from Portugal- АFPDM- Montijo. This organization is working as a host partner under the Programme, having its headquarters in Montijo city, Portugal. AFPDM shall ensure work placements in logistic centers, show-rooms and workshops as Américo Croca Pinto, Autoqualidade, Filidiesel, Inácio Car, L-Fina Car, Nr-Auto, Volantincrivel, providing practical training in conformity with needs, interests and qualification of beneficiaries. Vocational school of transport – Ruse has been working in partnership with AFPDM since 2014; this was one of the main criteria we applied in selecting our partner to carry out the project with, aiming at establishing sustainable partnership and cooperationTransnational mobility enables beneficiaries to easily adapt and self-actualize on the labor market. The project aims at:- achieving school’s main objectives laid down in the strategic plan for development, i.e.: stimulating students, developing positive attitude towards learning and practical work, thus diminishing the risk of early dropping from school;- providing the students being trained at Vocational School of Transport with opportunities to work with a modern, high-tech equipment and technologies used in motor vehicles servicing and maintenance with the purpose of successful integration of Bulgarian transport system in Europe;- widening and reaching intercultural knowledge of users. The project is aimed at providing young people undergoing initial vocational training greater opportunities to improve their attitude and skills in the field of maintenance and repair of modern high-tech cars. Hence, better quality and access to continuing vocational training is achieved, foreign language skills and competence in the context of professional field are increased. Therefore, a large-scale interaction with partners from European countries having established their names in the automotive industry has to be promoted and deepened in order to harmonize the quality of services offered in the field of transport engineering; thus, a sustainable partnership and cooperation will be achieved. Successful implementation of the project shall contribute to enriching the curricula, professional and language training; beneficiaries shall have the opportunity to implement intercultural exchange. In the course of three weeks starting from 24.04.2017 до 14.05.2017 a group of sixteen students shall undergo a practical training in Montijo, Portugal.
