One of the biggest issues of vocational education and training in Bulgaria is inconsistency between the theoretical and practical training, insufficient training for the real jobs, and low interest of business, outdate equipment and technologies in schools. The main objective is to provide students additional professional training in the field of mechanization and restaurant’s business by conducting a two-week manufacturing practice in a developed country like Germany in partnership with the company Vitalis. Newly acquired specific skills tutoring will bring added value to the professional qualification of young professionals. It will give them a chance to realize at the labour market, to get ready to meet the challenges of a changing reality; they will become enterprising, knowledgeable and capable people. Planned activities include organizing and conducting practical training for 40 students divided into two flows in two directions. For each flow for participants will be 20: 14 from the direction of mechanization and 6 from restaurant business. Twenty-eight users in the first direction will be chosen by professions "Mechanic of agricultural machines", "Mechanization of agriculture", "Mechanical Technician" and "Plant growing worker". The selection of the twelve restaurateurs will take place between the willing between professions "Restaurant business" and "Organizer in tourist agency". The two-week training will be held: for the mechanics - in workshops for the repair of tractors and cars in the vicinity of Leipzig and Halle; and for restaurateurs - in the restaurant “Vitalis” and restaurants in Schkeuditz and Leipzig. The beneficiaries - mechanics will learn about: the European standards and hygiene standards applicable in Germany to protect the environment from harmful emissions; measures for the economic and ecological use of materials and sources of energy; structure and work organization in an enterprise. They will acquire skills in: diagnosis and determine the characteristics of the technical condition of the engine; dismantling, repair and installation of separate mechanisms, components and systems; repair of vehicles with alternative propulsion; determining the technical condition, repair and installation of electrical equipment, lighting systems, locking systems, equipment on the dashboard and more. Young restaurateurs will enrich their knowledge about: attitudes and behaviour towards guests of the restaurant; the role of catering; the importance of environmentally friendly products for the health of people and their application in German cuisine; European standards and hygiene standards in restaurants. They will acquire skills in: preparation, laying and arranging of buffet with typical German dishes; compiling various menus properly combine foods, selection and calculation of the quantity and value of individual products; guests’ service; the use of spices; cooking for catering; planning and organization of work. Working in an international team will lead to mutual understanding and increasing interest in order to promoting the idea of tolerance between nations with different cultures and different social status. Training at German companies will increase interest in the learning process, which will positively affect the quality of the learning process. It will cause more interest and motivation. Participation in this project will turn the users into the operating figures of a better understanding between the peoples in Europe, in direct participants in process of making decisions, and a choice of responsibilities so to they feel part of the democratic world of Europe. Added value given to the professional qualification of the beneficiaries will meet the growing business requirements in various areas and will increase the confidence in vocational education. We expect greater involvement of local authorities and businesses to solve our problems and provide facilities and equipment with which to help the better education. The expected results of the project will contribute to building a broad and sustainable partnership that will continue over time. The experience gained by the students will create preconditions for development of enterprising spirit and desire to organize and manage their own businesses, using appropriate models, strategies and tactics. This would help create new jobs, to revitalize the economics and reduce the depopulation of rural areas such as ours. Training in European countries and the positive results of the beneficiaries leads to a change in attitude towards Bulgarian specialists and makes them demanded on the international market. Knowledge, skills and competencies are reflected in the Europass mobility certificate recognized in Europe.
