Project partners: 9 hosting organisation in Hungary, 6 sending organisation, 1 coordinating organisation. Total: 16 cooperating organisations. Number of volunteers: 15 volunteers from Germany, France, Italy, Romania, Slovakia. The voluntary activity took place in Budapest, Debrecen, Kiskunhalas and Magyarmecske. Goals and themes of the activity: The project was offering long-term voluntary service for 15 young people, who were coming from very different cultural and social background. The service was 11 months in Hungary while they had the possibility to learn about solidarity and tolerance. The volunteers had served in very different hosting projects (church and non-church) where faced cultural differences. The volunteers had learnt much about tolerance not in a theoretical way but to learn tolerance attitudes in the frame of non-formal learning. There were also volunteers from disadvantaged situation - compered to the others - in the project, so the volunteers also had a very intensive dialogue with each other. Duration of the service: 1 September 2014 – 31 July 2015, 11 months. Activity and methods: The main method during the activity was the intercultural learning where very different participants were working and living with each other. Not only the volunteers but also the hosting placements found themselves in an intercultural situation where they and had interaction with each other.
