EVALUATION OF COMPETENCES IN THE SECTOR OF WATER TREATMENT

WET aims to improve the visibility of professional qualifications in the management of water resources in the EU and to bring different national qualifications systems closer to the main beneficiaries. There is a need to connect the requirements of the employment market and VET with those of official professional qualifications systems. WET aims to contribute by eliminating barriers to the acquisition and recognition of competences.Objectives:•To transfer, adapt and improve the accreditation methodology from E/03/B/PP-149018 from hospitality sector to the environmental management as well as geographically, amplifying the partnership to 3 new countries (RO, BG, UK).•To contribute to the recognition of non-formal and informal learning and foment transparency and transferability of skills in the WRM (Water Resources Management) sector in EU.•To propose certification of skills in the WRM sector and to record professional achievements of workers in the sector.•To match VET to the requirements of the WRM sector.•To develop a set of guidelines (for evaluators, facilitators, candidates) for the evaluation of a specific competence ‘Operator of Water Treatment Stations’.•To contribute to transparency and unity in the environmental employment market, and to the harmonisation of qualifications in the workforce mobility.•To link national qualification systems.Target groups: Institutions and organisations working with accreditation of competences, Organisations from the WRM sector, Evaluators of competencies in official accreditation organisations and/or companies, Facilitators in the process of evaluation of competencies in SMEs, Training Organisations, Employees in the WRM sector.
