The European Union of Supported Employment (EUSE) is an umbrella group of National Associations of Supported Employment from across Europe. Established in 1993, EUSE promotes the application of the Supported Employment (SE )model as a means to securing economic inclusion for people with disabilities. EUSE has improved standards and promoted best practice through bi-annual conferences and a recent Leonardo project which produce the EUSE Supported Employment Toolkit. EUSE recognised that the model of Supported Employment could be adapted for people from other disadvantaged situations and in some European States this had already been commenced. The EUSE Toolkit for Diversity (EUSET) project aim was to adapt the existing Supported Employment Toolkit for three main target groups:- • Young people not in education, employment or training • Offenders and ex-prisoners • People recovering from substance abuse. The EUSET Project consisted of 12 partners from 11 European states. The project aim and objectives were achieved by the partners who:- • Conducted a Needs Analysis Report which was translated in to 9 languages • Adapted Supported Employment Toolkit for the target groups • Tested the adapted SE Toolkit with target group organisations • Produced an EUSE Toolkit for Diversity booklet which was translated in to 9 languages • Delivered capacity training to all partners • Produced Training Materials and Minimum Standards for training delivery • Delivered training to target group organisation • Conducted an internal and external evaluation • Dissemination and exploitation activities (launch, website, European dissemination event and national dissemination events)
