The “Istituto Comprensivo Villaputzu” has gained great experience in European cooperation activities, in several areas: strategic partnerships, e-Twinning, staff training, reception of university students as part of their Traineeship.The internationalization of our school is also characterized by participating in competitions and events held by national and European organisms, such as, for example, the European Day of Languages.The Institute aims to: provide students with an increasingly high and qualified foreign language training; motivate students through inclusive educational techniques; enhance the language and culture of its own country and that of the countries of students coming from different areas of Europe.The mobility project involves 13 teachers of the three types of schools, with the aim to consolidate their language and communication skills; to improve and increase their participation in European cooperation projects; to acquire and consolidate methodological skills to be used in language teaching and to be transferred in CLIL teaching; to make comparisons between their reality and that of schools and colleagues from other European countries, in order to exchange good practices, promote the inclusion of immigrants and disadvantaged pupils, motivate students, introduce innovative approaches to the study of languages.We hope to bring our school to be characterized by a high quality in teaching foreign languages and by new approaches to designing inclusive and innovative pathways; to consolidate the European dimension within our curriculum.
