EuroTraNet will establish itself as a European Network providing information on the existence and availability of vocational training to support the Road Transport industry.Initially the project will gather data throughout both current and potential partner countries with regard to existing training provision within the sector and will further undergo an extensive study on systems of vocational training within the two associated partner countries (CZ, HU). Research will be undertaken regarding methods used across Europe, in the identification of employee training needs within the industry.EuroTraNet will work with many different actors in the collection and dissemination of data regarding vocational training to include partner organisations, companies, individual students and industry bodies and will further establish a number relay points/occasional correspondents to influence and inform the network.The outcome of the project is to be a central ICT platform (internet-based) open for consultation by all contributory and user groups, to further inform and influence vocational training choice within the Road Transport industry. The network is expected to complement the existing activities of the International Road Union (IRU) in contributing to the development of training for the sector.
