PROJECT
FINISHED
The 21st century is the era of globalization when the need of quick access to information is among the basic needs of a modern man. However, there are still areas of information provision, primarily geographical ones that have not been covered. In the Hungarian-Romanian border region, lots of mediums deal with topics of cooperation on both sides of the border, however they lack the needed media coverage that is so crucial but rather isolated since very seldom information does not overcome political and language barriers. By implementing the project, a new, multilingual medium was developed that surpasses the former Internet applications presenting cross-border information. The information and service elements planned in the project facilitate cross-border exchange of information on a web-based surface that is designed to aggregate news of the border region and information of cross border interest. The cultural information of the website enhances and develops the intercultural relations as well. Thus, visitors of the website find such an information portal - a news aggregator - that treats information concerning the border region as a unit, regardless of the geographical boundaries. Topics of printed media embrace the cross border relations, in order to provide cross border information to citizens living in the border region in addition to national, regional and local news.Target group of the project is media of the border region, local, regional papers, Internet news sites, economic actors, professional organizations: chambers of commerce, educational and cultural institutions, civil organizations, as well as the citizens of the region..
