FINISHED
The aims of the project:
1. To give the students, who are studying the teaching programs of “Car mechanics” and „Car electro mechanics” new professional competencies and personal abilities, for their better competitiveness on the labor market.
2. To intensify professional competencies of the vocational training professionals seeking a more qualified practical training in the KPVM practical training center.
The quality of professional teaching is one of the most important questions in Lithuania, and in the European Union. Most jobless people aren’t qualified persons and are not ready for the labour market. The requirement of high-qualified specialists is increasingly rising. At that moment, in Klaipeda region the professions of a car mechanic and a car electrician are very popular and are in a great demand. These specialists, especially of high quality, are always wanted. The inquest of the owners of car repair enterprises showed, that their activities are constantly expanding, their services are popular but it is difficult to find suitable specialists. Therefore, the most of the surveyed approved the schools’ struggle for better quality of these specialists training.
Unfortunately, vocational schools still have not enough possibilities to prepare qualified professionals mostly because of the lack of students’ practical skills training. Students need to have more real working conditions with real cars. A new practical training center with new training and diagnostic equipment will be opened in our school in December, 2014. Our students as well as students from all around Klaipeda region will get training in there. Our teachers need to improve their qualification and gain new competencies to work in the center and to organize training courses for teachers of other vocational schools as well.
This project would help to reach mentioned above.
During the project, 16 students and 12 teachers from Klaipeda service and business school (KPVM) will go to traineeships to Germany and Italy. During the period of traineeship, participants will have practice in vocational training centers and car repair enterprises. This will help the students to achieve professional mastership, expand their range of skills, will increase their competitiveness in the labor market. The employees will get new knowledge and skills necessary for organizing practical training in the practical training Centre.
