Public Institution (PI) Kaunas mechanical school (KMM) is a vocational training institution which provides vocational and secondary education corresponding up-to-date requirements. The school prepares students of these engineering specialties: metalworking machinists, industrial machinery repairers, car- electro mechanics, car body repairers, electro-mechanics of electric equipment and air craft mechanics. There study about 500 students and work 53 teachers. Public Institution Kaunas mechanical school has great experience preparing specialists in the sphere of car repairing. These specialists are being prepared for 14 years. The strategy of Public Institution Kaunas Mechanical School includes: to develop cooperation in preparing workers of engineering specialties, to improve the quality of education for the young workers to have basics of working with the latest equipment and advanced technology, to work qualified, safe and civilized.PI Kaunas mechanical school in its Strategic Plan for 2015-2017 has foreseen the establishment of metal processing sectorial practical training center, which will correspond with the EU standards and the level of advanced metal processing technologies, but this work needs comprehensive experience. That is why we are applying for the ERASMUS+ program initial vocational training teachers‘mobility Project "The European experience in preparing students of engineering specialties". We are sure that the experience gained in the vocational training institutions, which have sectorial practical training centers and metal processing enterprises in Portugal will increase their qualification and competences in establishing sectorial practical training centers, teachers will have a look at teaching methods and technologies applied in Europe and will apply them in Lithuania. Innovations will increase students' motivation for their career, training will be more modern and intelligent. Lessons learned will help in planning the curriculum, the development of methodological and teaching materials and creating new engineering profile education programs. The main aims of this Project are:1. To improve teachers of profession professional / educational competencies that are necessary for the development of new engineering profile education programs, methodological and teaching materials; 2. To design the labour market corresponding technological processes, to provide the required infrastructure;3. To gain the experience needed for the establishment of metal processing sectorial centre. We hope to achieve these results:• 3 teahers of car electro-mechanics, 3 teachers of car body repairing and 3 teachers of metalworking machinists will increase their professional competences, teaching skills and gain knowledge;• Will adopt the experience from foreign partners in engineering sector;• Will improve the quality of vocational training;• The mobility of staff involved in the initial vocational training will be increased;• Teachers will have a possibility to get a higher qualificational category.Programs will be prepared for each visit that will meet with the participants needs and the Project aims. The participants for each visit will be chosen on a competitive basis according to the following criteria:1.
