Europejskie praktyki zawodowe uczniów Zespołu Szkół Transportowo - Elektrycznych Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego z Ostrowa Wielkopolskiego

The project applicant was The Complex of Transport-Electric Schools in Ostrów Wielkopolski with Europa Training (UK) Ltd., as a partner. There were 20 students, in job training for car mechanics. The overall time frame of the project was 12 months, whereas each particular job training visit took 2 weeks and was carried out as a school practice. There were 2 job training groups which based on the partners’ training center capacities and the quality of the job training exchange, and which stayed at the respective training centres in Plymouth, as stated in the programme exchange timetable. The project main objective was to carry out abroad, 10 days long school practice, to improve quality of education and to transfer innovations in vocational education for students of the Complex of Transport-Electric Schools in Ostrów Wielkopolski, by developing new vocational skills, language and culture competencies. The project objectives were to familiarize the participants with the following items, relating to and as upheld in Great Britain: new developments in technology, quality standards, work regulations and standard; workshop safety, conditions and equipment in a workshop, research facilities, use of most up-to-date diagnostic equipment in vehicles servicing and production, tools and procedures in vehicle mechanics, as well as Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations. Additionally, the students got to know car mechanics used in Great Britan. The job training exchange took place in genuine state-of-the-art automotive workshops, which is, in turn, to provide the participants with real experience of the European work and employment market. Furthermore, thanks to the participation in the project the students improved their professional knowledge and developd their practical skills, which, as a result increased their work competiveness. The participants got a chance to develop their language competencies, with a focus on work related vocabulary, which will help them to pass vocational qualification exams in the future.
The partner training center in Plymouth, possess excellent training facilities and equipment as well as experienced staff necessary for organizing the job training exchange and carrying out the project objectives. Partner ensured methodological supervision and training, accommodation arrangements as well as organization and coordination of cultural component experience.
