Europejskie doświadczenie źródłem naszych inspiracji
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The participants of the project "European experience the source of our inspiration" are a group of eight teachers teaching at different levels of education (kindergarten, primary school, lower secondary school). This group includes teachers of foreign languages (English and German), teachers of early learning, maths, RE and headmistress. Most of these teachers work in two or three buildings and therefore they are aware of the need for changes in education. The new curriculum and lowering the age of children, as well as the obligation of teaching English in kindergarten next school year 2015/2016 forces teachers to improve skills, enrich workshop, especially new methods using ICT tools. The project was designed to improve the quality of teaching and the organization of team work including modern technology, the teaching foreign languages in order to improve the skills of employees. One week stay at a partner school in Germany will take place during the project. Six teachers will follow the regular classroom lessons and extra activities. Teachers will learn how to work with gifted students and weaker ones to provide them with better results and a better start in life. Gifted pupils will have possibilities to develop their interests. The purpose of this trip is to get practical knowledge and skills, personal development, increase language skills and sharing experiences with other teachers. Moreover, two teachers will work in partner school in Germany for a week in order to teach classes using new methods. The project provides methodological and language training in the UK and Malta. Meetings with teachers from all over the Europe give opportunity to exchange experiences, improve their language skills, improve competence in foreign language teaching methodology, knowledge of other systems of education and educational policy, knowledge of culture and traditions of other countries. Teachers are going to improve their competences in foreign language teaching methodology at the level of early childhood education and classes IV-VI, so students will learn how to communicate in English and German freely to pass the final test. The choice of methods and forms of work with the youngest pupils - through games, activities, practices, using interactive whiteboards in the classroom - is particularly important. Participation in an international training gives the opportunity to observe classes at other schools. Teachers will see how new technologies are used. Teachers exchange experiences and knowledge and they enrich their workshop. By participating in the project we would like to be better prepared to work with the youngest pupils, use other modern methods of teaching (activating student project methods, developing logical thinking, creative problem solving), and improve the ability of using ICT tools at work. The aim of the project is to promote innovative ways of working, establishing direct international cooperation, knowledge of different organizational solutions, comparison of Polish, British and German school systems, the acquisition of new qualifications, experiences, the acquisition of the freedom of international communication, learning innovation in course content and education management, knowledge of working methods at the European level, which can be adapted to the conditions of Polish schools. Equally important result of the project is to establish international contacts and cooperate between schools by eTwinning projects or KA2 projects. This will lead to promote openness, positive attitudes, tolerance and cosmopolitan vision of society that teachers teach their students and learners will be able to use their language skills contacting with students from other EU countries.
